Forward Towards Glory

50 years ago
Our ancestors went through many, many, many miseries
Survived the years of the Portuguese till the Japanese occupation
Back to the British resettlement
Even the dreadful communists' threats
But history we can never let go
We nurture our courage from history
We mustn't repeat others' foolishness
Together, we must unite as a nation
A nation with dignity.
United we stand, divided we fall.

Today
Greatest gratitude to our respected leaders
So the same to our ancestors
Moving forward towards glory
Walking tall with the rest of the world
As colourful as the rainbow
Brightly lit in their intelligent glow
We are a nation and this is our beloved country!
Let us cherish our loving peace and harmony.
Remember our Independence Day!
